"Unlikely Friendship: Rescued Duck and Pet Dog Forge a Heartwarming Bond"

Animal cruelty tops the list of unnecessary evil to me. This story is a bit different though. It was not a human that was cruel to an animal, it was other animals and nature.

Meet Goose!  Goose was found at a local animal park.

This little guy was abandoned by his mother. She was on the other side of the park when they heard him chirping from a small hole that he had made in his shell.

When his rescuers got him home, they helped him out of his shell. He was very weak and could hardly move at the time so they didn’t think he would live through the night. They had a friend lend them a heat lamp to keep him warm overnight and come morning, he was wide awake and very energetic.

According to the rescuer, “I was hesitant to let the dog near Goose at first as I did not know how well they would get along. As it turns out they both loved each other, the dog would lie there licking the duck, and the duck would run after the dog anywhere he went and peck at him constantly.” They eventually become best friends.

He loved to be loved by their dog and enjoyed being by his side.

They eventually become best friends.

Below is a close up of his adorable face.

As you can see he started to grow and get healthier.

Two months in and he was starting to look like a full-grown duck.

He had a proper coat of feathers, white with light brown spots and a gray head.

The dog has started to keep his face away from Goose now as his bite is a little bit stronger than it used to be.

His wings are fully grown now, although due to his breed they don’t think that he will be able to fly.

During the last month, Goose’s colors changed again. His colors darkened to what you can see now. His voice only broke a couple of days ago and his drake feather came through a few days prior meaning that he is a male.

He is a very friendly little guy, quite curious too

He loves to be photographed as well.

What a beautiful ending. We know this duck will be loved and nurtured for the rest of his life.
