Tragedy struck on February 10, 2014, when Oztuk Ismail passed away, leaving his entire family in shock. However, it was Zozo who took the loss the hardest, grieving for the past two years over the absence of his human companion. The dog was inconsolable, heartbroken by the departure of his loving master.

Oztuk’s widow and son noticed that Zozo would often vanish from the house, only to return at the end of the day. They couldn’t comprehend where he went or what he did during his mysterious absences.

One day, Oztuk Zafer, Oztuk Ismail’s son, decided to visit his father’s grave. From a distance, he noticed an animal sleeping atop the tomb. As he approached, he discovered it was Zozo. Every single day for the past two years, the faithful dog had been coming to the cemetery, rain or shine, to be near his departed friend. Zozo’s son realized the depth of his father’s absence by witnessing the dog’s unwavering devotion.

Oztuk Zafer recalls being the one who initially carried Zozo to his father’s grave. Never could they have anticipated that the dog would faithfully make his way to the cemetery, at the edge of the village, each day to pay homage to his companion.

Although unable to communicate his emotions verbally, Zozo continues to express his love for his owner through unwavering gestures of loyalty and devotion.

It is evident that the former master, who must have been a remarkable man, deserved the unwavering companionship and affection of his loyal dog, Zozo.
