Impending Reunion: Former Barcelona Star Luis Suarez on the Verge of Joining Messi at Inter Miami

A former FC Barcelona player is supposedly on his way to Inter Miami to join Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets.

Messi’s official debut at Inter Miami is approaching, with co-owner Jorge Mas recently confirming that documentation are being finished before the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner makes his first public appearance as their player.

With his debut set for 22 July against Cruz Azul in a mid-season tournament, the Florida club is reportedly looking for a third high-profile signing to join Busquets and Messi, with Mas previously stating that they have considered signing Luis Suarez, Sergio Ramos, Angel Di Maria, and Jordi Alba.

While there have been reports suggesting that Eden Hazard has also been approached regarding a move, it is now claimed that Alba is on the verge of signing for the David Beckham-co-owned team.

According to Spanish journalist Toni Juanmarti, the fullback’s reunion with Messi and Busquets in Florida is now “99% done”.

Alba left Barcelona last month after more than a decade with the side and is now expected to arrive in Major League Soccer as a free agent after reportedly receiving offers from teams in Saudi Arabia, Spain, and Italy.

It may come as little surprise to some that the former Blaugrana trio are set to represent the same club once again after it was reported a few months ago that they had a pact in place that they would play together one more time before retiring, although it was initially thought this would take place in Saudi Arabia.

However, Messi denied that the three of them had such an agreement last month, telling Sport: “It’s another of the things they said, that I was going with Busi [Sergio Busquets] and Jordi [Alba] to Saudi Arabia, that we had everything arranged.

“I was obviously aware of them, what they were going to do, but we never agreed to go anywhere together.”
