Hairless Dog's Unconventional Request on Country Road Leads to Surprising Outcome
An old hairless dog, on a country road, asks a man for help to save himself. The episode happened in Pennsylvania, during Memorial Day, that day, Danielle Finley and her companion were driving on a country road.
Suddenly, in the distance, they saw an animal running towards them. At first, precisely because of the distance, they did not understand what animal it was, they thought it was a raccoon.
Danielle told The Dodo:
“We thought he was going to go off the road in a minute, so we were just driving. But he didn’t run away, so we stopped, and he came running and looked at the car.”

As they got closer, however, they realized it was an old hairless dog. Both were shocked at the sight of this poor dog seeking help.
Fortunately, the couple decided to stop and help the dog. At first glance, the dog seemed very sociable. The couple had their two dogs with them and luckily, they had food on hand.
So they first gave the dog food and water to give it strength. The dog devoured everything with such voracity that it left the couple speechless.
Danielle said:
“We actually had two of our other dogs, our two Boston terriers, with us, so we got out of the car and checked. He was friendly so we got dog food and water. »
Danielle and her partner immediately knew they had to do something about the dog. They first went to the police station to see if the dog was lost.
Unfortunately the dog was not microchipped and had been abandoned. For this reason, they decided to take it home. The next day, the couple took the dog to a veterinary clinic to have all the necessary tests done.
Danielle said:
“One of the things he’s noticed is that the undersides of his teeth are crushed, so his theory is he was probably kept caged the whole time. He feels that whoever owned him…kept him in a cage for a while, and eventually dumped him, because his health issues got out of hand. »
The hair loss was due to the long time spent on the street. Fortunately, the dog’s condition improves and the animal receives all the love from its new family.
Phil gets along very well with Danielle’s other three rescue dogs, but has bonded especially closely with Lily, his oldest Boston terrier. Phil seems to know how lucky he is and constantly shows affection.
Danielle finished:
“They are quite close. You can almost always find them together. He is the sweetest dog and we feel so lucky to have him. »
