Fashion World Enamored by Jack Grealish, the Rising Star of Manchester City

At the Leeds festival last summer, when Jack Grealish was greeted on stage by Stormzy, the youthful audience cheered at the sight of two of their idols.

He had been cheered on by Man City’s devoted supporters during a 5-0 thrashing of Arsenal hours earlier at the Etihad.

However, this crowd was different. One who was familiar with Grealish as a celebrity and a fashion symbol rather than a sophisticated midfielder who can expose a defense with a pass.

In a t-shirt by Balenciaga, Gucci shorts, and a bucket hat, he was dapper and every inch the alluring footballer who commands the respect of female supporters.

It was immediately apparent that the £100 million signing had transcended the world of football, maybe due to the widespread acclaim he had garnered for his performance with England in the Euros.

Grealish, the current face of the sport, is on his way to following in the footsteps of David Beckham, who made risky decisions and modeled for Armani among other fashion giants.

Less than a year after receiving a six-figure amount from boohooMAN for a clothes partnership, Jack reportedly secured a significant sponsorship contract with Gucci.

Even an Instagram fan page has been created specifically to catalog his wardrobe.

The current crop of footballers who dress to impress, as stated by Hector Bellerin, perfectly captures the situation.

He explained to Esquire that because the younger generation has grown up entirely on social media, where aesthetic is valued, dressing stylishly and expressing yourself in that way is crucial to them.

“I think they’re realizing that they can do that, and just because they’re doing it doesn’t make them any less of a footballer or anything else,” the author said. It’s simply the way things are.

Football players from the 1970s like George Best, Pele, and the late Frank Worthington were undoubtedly up to date with fashion.

However, the majority of today’s athletes are aware of what happens after their football careers are ended.

By embracing his good looks and combining that with modeling for companies like Armani, H&M, Kent & Curwen, and others, David Beckham ensured his future when he hung up his boots.

He still earns over £15 million a year because to his astute business decisions and massive popularity.

And Grealish is contemplating in such manner. He has demonstrated that, like Beckham, he is not afraid to experiment with his clothing.

Recall that when Beckham was off duty in France 98, he was known for returning sarongs.

Grealish was made fun of online last year when, while out with Love Island actress Ellie Brown, he was seen wearing a pair of peach-colored pants as they made their way to Manchester’s Chinawhite nightclub.

The first player to get such an honor, he was however inspired by Gucci to become their next ambassador, following in the footsteps of Harry Styles and Hollywood actor Jared Leto.

According to reports, he received a seven-figure payment for the opportunity.

Prior to that, boohooMAN reportedly paid the former Aston Villa player £250,000 to work with him on designs for hoodies, t-shirts, giant sweaters, and other Grealish-inspired clothing.

Grealish is without a doubt the football player that has garnered the most attention in terms of fashion since Beckham.

Who he associates with

Football God became a pop cultural phenomena in large measure thanks to music.

Beckham was a great fan of the Manchester music scene and dated and later wed Spice Girl Victoria Adams. He also admitted that his love for the Stone Roses dominated his formative years at Manchester United.

He was a regular at Oasis performances during the 1990s, and it was even rumored that he assisted in the band’s live concert reunion.

In contrast to before, when indie rock ruled the music scene, British rappers now control the airwaves.

Grealish is well-liked in the scene and frequently mentioned by UK rap acts, such as Stormzy, who once rapped the lyric “Slide in the middle like Grealish” for the remix of his song Sore.

It was therefore appropriate for the Brit Award winner to briefly invite Grealish on stage during his headlining performance at the Leeds Festival, and the two to embrace.

In a 2020 interview with Match of the Day, he also shared his game-day playlist, which included songs by Akon, Justin Bieber, Stormzy, and fellow Birmingham native Mist.

‘Beautiful hair’

The top page news was dominated by stories on how regularly Beckham changes his haircut, which has included growing out his long mane, adding highlights, chopping it all off, and even attempting a mohawk.

At one point in time, he wore an Alice band in order to keep everything under control.

Grealish has also adopted an Alice band for his haircut, which is currently being emulated by children in schoolyards all throughout the country. Grealish is a role model for these young people.

Back in February, he did try out a new hairstyle by getting a haircut at A Star Barbers, which is a popular barbershop among football players. This photo quickly went viral.

After the shutdown in the year 2020, he continued to train while wearing his hair in plaits. That was reported in the media once more.

During the European Championships, Grealish was interviewed by Josh Denzel for the England team’s social media outlets in the “Lions’ Den.” The topic of the interview was Grealish’s extensive hair care routine.

After shampooing and conditioning, you should add wax, Moroccan oil, and hairspray to keep your style in place.

Grealish, like Beckham, is given the number 7 jersey to wear for the Three Lions.

It would not be surprising if, in the years to come, the child from Solihull overtook his numbered counterpart to become football’s most prominent fashion icon.
