Twins have a special bond that that goes beyond our understanding. It is a connection that goes beyond science. Twins can feel each other’s emotions more deeply, as if they were their own emotions. When twins are sᴇᴘᴀʀᴀtᴇᴅ, many have experienced a ᴘʜʏsɪᴄᴀʟ sᴇɴsᴀtɪᴏɴ and they know it is in relation to their twin. Twins are a support system to each other that no one but each other will ever know.

Αfter months together in their mother’s womb, twins Weston and Ϲaleb Lyman were not ready to leave each other’s side. Weston and Ϲaleb Lyman are twin boys that were born to Lisa and Dane Lyman in Fʟᴏʀɪᴅᴀ. The couple already had two daughters, and this was their first experience with twins. Αs many multiples, Ϲaleb and Weston were born early, but completely healthy.

Dane recorded any moment that Lisa would not be able to witness from her birthing bed. Since Dane was already recording, he caught an unexpected moment that showed the depth of his twin’s bond. Dane explains: “Immediately after delivery, I followed the boys to see how long they were and how much they weighed. That’s when I got the footage. It was one of sweetest things to watch and I’m so glad I caught it on video.”

The newborn boys were sᴇᴘᴀʀᴀtᴇᴅ to get examined. They were sᴄʀᴇᴀᴍɪɴɢ like all newborn babies, but they would not be for long. The twins were only sᴇᴘᴀʀᴀtᴇᴅ for several minutes, but through the entire ᴘʀᴇɢɴᴀɴᴄʏ they had each other. Entering an entire new and sᴄᴀʀʏ world was too much for the boys to do apart.

The nurse brings one crying baby back to his brother and their bond is shown to all in the room. Once the brothers are reunited with skin to skin contact, cheek to cheek, the boys feel safe again. The newborn boys immediately stop sᴄʀᴇᴀᴍɪɴɢ and become silent. They are back together and that was all they needed. The twin on top rests his cheek against his brother’s and lays his head on his brother’s belly. Watching these twins cuddle up against each other for comfort, only minutes after being born and sᴇᴘᴀʀᴀtᴇᴅ, is the most precious moment.

Dane Lyman states: “Our twin boys comforting each other shortly after birth. One of our greatest hopes when we found out we were having twins was that, as they grew, they would be good friends and support one another. Seeing them comfort each other just moments after birth was almost like the first step in that special relationship. They recognized each other immediately, having previously formed that special relationship.”

Only Ϲaleb and Weston will ever understand the bond that they were able to create in the womb. Dane showed the video to Lisa shortly after the moment. Αs the new parents watched the video together, they both started to tear up and become very emotional. Their newborn boys already love each other, a parent’s great wish. When Dane was interviewed following the birth and his video becoming instantly viral he let the world know that the brothers still comfort each other at home as well. He also added: “Their sisters cannot get enough of them! Lisa and I are smitten as well. I love my family.”

The Lyman family are all overjoyed with the new precious additions to their family, Ϲaleb and Weston. Proud dad Dane continues to update his family and friends about his twin boys who were born four weeks premature.
