Bethany Coleman and her boyfriend had a full house with two older cats and their beloved rescue dog, Rogue. Although they longed for another dog, they were hesitant about adding another member to their furry family.

As they contemplated renting an apartment, they wondered if finding a place that would accommodate two humans, two cats, and two dogs would be a challenge. But fate had other plans for them, and their journey took an unexpected turn.

One day, while leisurely strolling through the local farmer’s market, Bethany’s attention was captivated not by the fresh produce but by a dog who bore a striking resemblance to Rogue. It felt like destiny had brought them together, and they knew they couldn’t let this opportunity pass them by.

They welcomed the 8-month-old dog into their lives and named him Beast. Bethany shared, “Rogue and I felt love at first sight with him. He looked just like Rogue, the same size, the same coat… They’re both cairn terrier hybrids. We’re frequently asked if they’re brothers and sisters.”

Despite being the only dog in the family, Rogue embraced Beast as if they were long-lost twins. They had an instant connection and a bond that couldn’t be broken.

“In the beginning, we would buy Beast and Rogue the same toys, but Rogue would only want whatever Beast had and constantly snatch it away from him,” Bethany recounted.

Beast quickly became known as the cuddlebug of the family, vying for lap space with the kitties and providing endless love and companionship.

Now, they all reside in Hawaii, their new home, and their unity as a family has only grown stronger. Bethany proudly declared, “Our cross-country journey affirmed that this little family will always be together.”
