Devoted Canine Stays Unwavering at the Spot Where She Last Saw Her Beloved Family
A gray-and-white pooch was recently spotted in a parking lot of a school in Southern California. It is believed that the dog might have lost its family and was found sleeping under the school’s shrubs. Despite the efforts of the neighbors to rescue the dog, she refused to move from her spot under the tree. Founder of Logan’s Legacy dog rescue, Suzette Hall, stated that the tree was like a safe place for the dog and it seemed like her little home.
After several weeks had passed, the dog still lingered in the same spot. Despite the numerous chances to leave the school’s vicinity, the loyal pup refused to stray too far. Suzette Hall, a witness to the dog’s unwavering devotion, noted that the gate would often open during the day, yet the dog remained steadfast. The pooch found comfort and solace within the school’s perimeter, as the gate would close at night. Unfortunately, despite the widespread circulation of the dog’s photo online, no one came forward to claim her as their own. It was a heart-wrenching experience for everyone involved.
Upon stumbling upon the canine’s tale, Suzette Hall was quick to extend a helping hand. The dedicated rescuer drove to the school and scoured the premises for the dog. At first, she couldn’t forage for it, but she soon found the furry friend nestled in its favorite hideout. “She was absolutely adorable,” Hall exclaimed, adding, “I pulled up and scanned for trees, and there she was.” Subsequently, Hall deployed a humane trap with a warm piece of hot dog, then waited for the pup to investigate. She was concerned that the dog wouldn’t be hungry enough to take the bait, given the locals had already been feeding it kibble. However, the rescuer’s choice of snack proved to be spot on. “She wasn’t famished, but she definitely hadn’t tasted hot dogs before,” Hall recalled. “So she got lured right in.”
Suzette Hall took in a dog named Scarlet after the poor animal was lost for two weeks. The dog was initially frightened, but finally relaxed after realizing she was safe. The team at Camino Pet Hospital gave Scarlet a clean bill of health, and she was cleared for foster care. Scarlet has now joined a loving foster home and is relishing her time with her new siblings. She loves playing with them and is an affectionate little dog.
Currently, Scarlet’s foster home is just a temporary arrangement, which means she still needs to find a permanent family. This adorable pup is friendly and affectionate towards everyone she meets, so she’ll be an easy fit into any new household. Suzette Hall, her caretaker, is on the lookout for a loving family who will provide a forever home for Scarlet. The ideal family would be someone who will love her unconditionally and never leave her alone. Scarlet deserves a happy life, free from the hardships of living under a tree.
