Confirmed: Fabinho Completes £40M Transfer, Leaving Liverpool

Brazilian midfielder Fabinho has officially signed with Saudi Arabian team Al-Ittihad after leaving Liverpool FC.

After five successful seasons at Anfield, the 29-year-old departs, apparently agreeing to a £40 million contract to play in the Middle East.

Liverpool made the decision to forego sending their second-most-used player from the squad from the previous season to their training camp in Germany after receiving a suggestion from Al-Ittihad.

According to rumors, the deal might not go through since the Saudi Pro League club lacks the necessary funding.

Fabinho is currently a member of Al-Ittihad, despite allegations to the contrary surrounding the entry of his dogs into the country, as the problem was subsequently resolved.

He was a teenage player at Rio Ave and currently works for Nuno Espirito Santo, a former manager of Wolves and Tottenham.

Along with Jota, a former Celtic winger, Karim Benzema, and N’Golo Kante, these players joined Nuno’s team this summer.

In 2018, Fabinho moved to Liverpool from AS Monaco. Since then, he has played in 219 matches for the team in all competitions, scoring 11 goals and dishing out nine assists.

While playing for Liverpool, he won every significant local and international club championship, including the FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup, Premier League, FA Cup, and League Cup.

Despite the shock of his departure this summer, considering Fabinho’s old age, Liverpool probably couldn’t have said no to the transfer money.

Fab, I value the pleasant memories.
