The defending champion and runner-up EPL entered the game cautiously. Both Arsenal and Man City try to keep the ball firmly, while preventing the opponent from doing the same. The first half took place with a tight match and there were not many attractive phases.

Rare opportunities appear with the regret of Arsenal players. Kai Havertz twice faced Man City goalkeeper but could not score. Meanwhile

The game in the first half of the second half was not significantly different from before the break. The attraction and the goals only appeared in the last 30 minutes of the game.

Man City gradually increased the pressure. Pep Guardiola’s squad adjustment plans are effective. Not long after coming on, Kevin De Bruyne set up Cole Palmer to score the opening goal.

Arsenal forced to push up the formation to attack. They did not create any clear opportunities after letting the opponent lead the table, but luck was on the side of Mikel Arteta’s teachers and students. In stoppage time lasting more than 10 minutes, the Gunners had an equalizer thanks to Leandro Trossard’s shot, the ball touched the Man City defender and changed direction into the goal.

In the penalty shootout, Arsenal did better. They successfully completed 4 kicks, while Man City missed 2 times. De Bruyne hit the bar and Rodri was saved by goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale. Arsenal won 4-1 on penalties and won the Community Shield.
